Village Hall Installed - May 2021

Alderton Parish Council has just completed the installation of a 65” ‘smart’ TV and sound bar into the village hall.

This was made possible with a grant from the district council, with the help and advice of Councillor James Mallinder, and a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to help rural and coastal villages purchase new equipment. For more information about the scheme, please visit www.suffolkcoastalcic.org

The hall has also installed Broadband, using technology supplied by a Chelmsford based company called FibreWiFi www.fibrewifi.com

They use Ultrafast Fibre Optic Connections to supply connectivity to transmission points and then use radio, rather than copper phone lines, to connect customers to the Buzcom Network. The council would like to thank Gary, Alex and the team for their help and a great job!

Thanks also to Chris and Phil from Bayfield Electrics, who installed the TV, satellite dish and cables to make it all work!!

The TV will be used by the youth club, and for PC meetings, quiz nights and even karaoke nights. It can be used by anybody wishing to hire the hall as well.

In the picture you can see Alex from FibreWiFi ready to install the router for Broadband at Alderton Village Hall with local Councillor Mal Ward.
